Abstract

This article wants to show in which way the medium film offers different perspectives on critical thinking in university teacher training. The teaching concept bases on the terms education, society and critical thinking as main components students deal with. First, theoretical approaches make them aware of multiple views. According to this, students develop their own way of interpretation: What is the subject matter of the film? Further, the examination of film contrasts varied reactions of students in another way: writing down their film impressions in a film diary makes them conscious of their individual reception.
