Abstract

Dealing with one’s own biography can lead to a reflection on one’s self-image and, through corresponding impulses, for example on one’s own learning history, bring specific areas of life into view. This seems to be an important starting point for the design of innovative didactic formats in higher education, especially in teacher education. In this article, the instrument “learning biography curve” is presented and examined, using two examples. Perspectives for its use in the first phase of teacher education are shown.
