Abstract

The following contribution includes ten authentic case portraits of primary school children from Bielefeld. The case portraits provide insights into the family and school situations of these children and represent their heterogeneous daily realities from multiple perspectives. The case portraits can be used in the context of multi-phase teacher education to support the transfer processes between theory and practice, promote a critical-reflective engagement and create more sensitization for heterogeneous daily realities, etc. The following contribution elucidates the didactic implementation possibilities and connecting factors of portfolio work (2), four exemplary theoretical focus areas (3) as well as the process of creating a case portrait (4).
