Abstract

The  importance  of  Research-Based  Learning  is  almost  undisputed and it has become a central part at all different university levels. A wide variety of different forms of Research-Based Learning can  be found in the literature (for example Huber, 2014): Research-Related, Research-Based, Research-Oriented or Project-Based Learning are some examples. In this paper, the different forms will be presented and discussed, in particular, whether they are an activating teaching method  or  more  a  continuous  didactic  concept  for  the  curriculum.  ResearchBased Learning is a central element in the master’s program of business education at the University of Graz. A learning platform, which was developed together with the Universities of Leipzig and Dresden, will be used as a support tool for the students. This paper shows a best practice example of the integration of Research-Based Learning in the master curriculum from the 1st to the 5th term.
